Our Project Management Team is led by Frans de Klerk, a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in Principal Agency and the leadership of multidisciplinary development teams. His extensive expertise spans design, architecture, construction, and project management, making him an invaluable asset to the TJA Pretoria team.

Frans brings a deep understanding of the JBCC Contract framework, a critical component in the successful delivery and management of complex projects. His wealth of knowledge, strategic insight, and leadership continue to guide the team in achieving excellence, fostering growth, and delivering successful outcomes for our clients.

Jan van Sittert

Professional Architectural
Technologist

Jan van Sittert brings over 14 years of architectural experience to the team, with a strong focus on fuel retail developments. Much of his career has been dedicated to filling station projects, where he has developed deep sector-specific expertise.

A standout project in his portfolio is the recently completed Sasol N17 upgrade, which included a comprehensive interior refurbishment and the introduction of three new Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs). His work reflects a practical, detail-driven approach to delivering efficient and contemporary retail environments.

Cosette-Mari Minnaar

Professional Architect

Cosette-Mari Minnaar joined the TJA team in 2025, where she manages a portfolio of retail and commercial projects, as well as overseeing on-site coordination. Alongside project delivery, she also leads the firm’s social media and website presence, shaping how the practice communicates its work externally.

She began her career in Somerset West in 2018, building a strong foundation in technical documentation and construction processes. After relocating to Pretoria, she contributed to luxury and multi-residential developments, where her interest in regenerative and adaptive design began to take shape and grow.

Alannah Power

Candidate Architect

Alannah Power is a member of the Design Team, involved across a wide range of projects from early concept development through to detailed technical documentation. A graduate of the University of Pretoria, she brings a strong academic foundation to her role as a Candidate Architect at TJA Pretoria.

She is passionate about contributing to both commercial and residential work, with a focus on delivering innovative, sustainable, and user-centred design solutions that respond meaningfully to context and user experience.

Jayesh Bhoola

Technical Team lead

The Technical Team is led by Jayesh Bhoola, an accomplished architect with more than 30 years of experience across a wide range of sectors, including commercial, hospitality, and interior design. His portfolio reflects both versatility and depth, shaped by decades of hands-on involvement in complex architectural projects.

Jayesh is known for his calm, steady presence and the positive energy he brings into every collaboration. As a project leader, he consistently sets a strong example through clear thinking, technical skill, and grounded leadership, guiding teams to successful project delivery throughout his career.

Jan Kooiman

Architectural
Technologist

Jan Kooiman brings 20 years of experience in technical documentation, with a diverse portfolio spanning multiple project types. His work includes filling stations, fast-food franchises such as KFC and Burger King, commercial office developments, and retirement village projects.

His broad sector experience and strong technical grounding enable him to produce clear, accurate documentation across complex building typologies, supporting efficient project delivery from concept through to completion.

Christi du Plessis

Candidate Architect

Christi du Plessis is a candidate architect with over 5 years of experience, combining her background in both architecture and interior architecture to support the design team in delivering responsive, carefully considered spaces.

Her work is guided by a strong focus on user well-being and the emotional quality of space, bringing a thoughtful sensitivity to each project. Christi contributes to TJAP’s design outcomes by helping shape environments that are both functional and meaningfully experienced.

Ruben Nieuwenhuys

Candidate Architectural Technologist (Intern)

Ruben Nieuwenhuys is a graduate of the University of Pretoria and has been part of the team as an intern since 2025. He is motivated by a strong commitment to active learning and contributes across both design development and technical documentation phases of projects.

With a sharp eye for detail and a considered approach to problem-solving, Ruben brings clarity, precision, and creative energy to each project he supports, adding value through both technical accuracy and design insight.

Werner Kunneke

Professional Senior
Architectural Technologist

Werner Künneke is a Senior Technologist with 30 years of experience, bringing strong technical expertise and coordination skills to the team. He plays a key role in ensuring the practice remains at the forefront of technical drafting standards, with a particular focus on Revit training and the ongoing development of digital design capabilities.

Werner’s extensive knowledge spans a variety of commercial typologies, including retail environments, office developments, and interior installations. His technical depth and commitment to precision make him a vital contributor to the team’s continued growth and performance.

Jason Di Bon

Professional Architect

Jason Di Bon is a qualified Professional Architect who has been with the company for over 6 years. He has a strong interest in sustainable, environmentally conscious design and brings a thoughtful, future-focused approach to his work.

With both technical and design strengths, Jason is a well-rounded architect who bridges the gap between precision and creativity, delivering buildings that are both functional and expressive. He specialises in design and provides clients with interactive, realistic 3D visualisations that bring projects to life.

Mishau Azar

Candidate Architect

Mishau Azar is a passionate, solutions-driven designer who brings energy, clarity, and direction to the teams he works with. With over 4 years of experience across multi-level commercial and residential projects, he has developed a strong understanding of programmatic organisation and form-making.

His interests lie in creating seamless design workflows and fostering effective team coordination, alongside exploring innovative construction methods such as steel and mass timber prefabrication. He is also particularly engaged in inner-city adaptive reuse projects, where existing structures are reimagined with new purpose and life.
