Libreville Shopping Centre is situated on the coast in Gabon and enjoys pleasant views of the
ocean. Accentuating these vistas and creating comfortable spaces amidst the humid climate were
prominent considerations for the retail design.

The proposal did this by allowing unlimited visual access on the upper floors and incorporating various shading devices. A timber canopy covers the public courtyard nestled between shops, defining the streetscape created between them. Additionally, the façade presents an articulated screen that serves as both an eye-catching and a shading element.

Upon arrival, users are greeted by a grand staircase that serves as the entrance, leading seamlessly
into the retail space. The entrance is emphasized by monumental stone walls, juxtaposing the
lightweight nature of the screens and surrounding greenery.
