The context of Gabon offered the Grill & Sushi restaurant many opportunities, such as scenic
vistas and the provision of a cool and refreshing interior space amidst the humid environment. The
project called for a high-class dining and lounging experience.

The proposed interior is a composition of custom-made furniture pieces, muted colours, and grainy
textures, along with theatrical lighting. To celebrate the dining experience, a spectator-performer relationship is created through visual access into the kitchen and various modes of seating
at differing scales of intimacy.

The proposal goes further to forge a connection between the user and nature, achieved by
incorporating a glazed façade overlooking onto the garden. Additionally, the interior is adorned with
numerous internal planters and green walls, further reinforcing the harmonious integration of the
dining space with the surrounding natural elements.
