Seattle Coffee Company, Castle Gate, is a flagship store in the newly built Castle Gate Lifestyle
Shopping Centre. The coffee shop offered the opportunity to explore new bar types as well as a
variety of seating types.

This Seattle Coffee presented their customers with a vast coffee bar, self-serve food bars, and an exclusive Mod bar, which incorporated an interactive coffee brewing process.
A multitude of seating types are found in the space, accommodating a diverse group of fast and
slow users. The seating types cater for work, social and solo uses by providing the customers with bar settings, intimate seating, communal tables, booths and a homely lounge with fireplace.

Seattle Castle Gate presents a rustic colour palette with rich textures and vibrant pops of colour.
The space provides the user with a deep haptic experience by allowing them to interact with natural
materials and various textures. The design includes solid oak, polished granite, smooth leather and
brick slips, all at the user’s scale. Furthermore, the coffee shop includes items of a uniquely crafted
nature, to allow the sense of idiosyncrasy and a personal touch. These are especially evident in the
woven bulkhead above the bar, the suspended copper mesh that undulates in the centre of the store, the hand-painted murals, and the carved oak tops with their handmade steel detailing.

This flagship allowed Seattle Coffee Co. to fully exude their brand in proud displays of merchandise
on curated units, as well as, by warmly welcoming their customers through artisanal timber/steel
doors that lead to the well-defined, monumental coffee bar. This design presents the users with an
atmosphere of comfort, exclusivity and authenticity.
