This project introduced a more abstract and sculptural canopy to the Sasol brand.
The canopy presents an amorphous floating plane, illuminated by a spectrum of colours to add a sense of vibrancy to the station. The structural resolution of the canopy proved both a challenge and opportunity, resulting in an intricate cantilever and barely visible columns delicately supporting the mass. The canopy seems to merely rest upon the carved concrete mass.

The c-store enjoyed a contrasting design of dark materials, moody lighting and greenery. This
juxtaposition allows for a harmonious composition without the one eclipsing the other.
